Historic Underwater Park Čikat

Part of a diving center DIVER – LOŠINJ, the 300 square meters of underwater historic park is a perfect place to take your first Discovery dive or to do a Check dive at the beginning of diving holidays. 11 objects are exhibited, including a replica of the ancient statue of Apoxyomenos, dating back to 1stor 2nd century BC. The original statue rested in deep waters until 1996, when an amateur diver accidentally discovered it.

At the depth of 5-15 meters, replicas of cannons from the 16thcentury, ancient amphora, machine guns from WWII and Venetian cannons offer a glimpse into the past world of trade, warfare, busy life and dramatic deaths, offering the opportunity to divers to both discover the sport of diving and the history of the underwater world.

Listed as one of the best dive locations in Croatia, this underwater park provides a unique scene for amazing underwater photographs. For all categories of divers, children and less experienced divers included.
