Martinšćica, Cres
At some point in 1st century, a ship sunk here, taking down its cargo. At the depths of 17 to 30 meters, the remains of amphorae are preserved, entangled in sludge and grass beneath. Much of the cargo and the remains of the wooden structure were found under the layer of sand.
The site is located 50 meters from the gorge and the rocky coastline in the Martinšćica bay, on the island of Cres.
