Roman shipwreck, Ilovik

Shipwreck from the Roman period with amphorae cargo, thoroughly researched and documented. The cargo of the ship consisted of probably  over 1700 North Italian amphorae, before the site was looted.  A specific type of amphorae was discovered here and it was named Ilovik. Today, the cargo is partially preserved and displayed in Museum of Lošinj.
